Building a realistic looking car out of LEGO is an impressive feat. Building a realistic looking crashed car out of LEGO is something else altogether. The little details on this scene by zgrredek are just spectacular. Check out the crumpled hood, smashed roof, and bent bumper, just don’t ask me why the driver appears to be holding a green ball.
I’m so used to seeing excellent teensy spaceships from Rodney Bistline (Buster) that I had to check twice that I had the name right. I did. This delightful helicopter combines Rodney’s gorgeous use of shape and colour with a more contemporary design. I want to see more near-future stuff from you, Rodney. Got that!
Adam Grabowski goes for a drive with an icon in this Mini. We will forgive him for painting one piece, since it turned out so well. Now he needs to build Teddy.
As much as I prefer Frank Herbert’s original novels, David Lynch created a unique vision of the Dune universe that was all his own. Stefan Käsmayer (-2×4-) has recently recreated bits of Lynch’s version in LEGO, beginning with the Harkonnen ornithopter (via The Living Brick):

Ralph Savelsberg (Mad physicist) recently completed his P-61 night-fighter and decided to show it off with its German counterpart. Although if looks won wars I’d have my money on the Axis.
Vimal Patel’s (vmln8r) Lego monster truck does all that a monster truck can do, including jumping the shark, crashing through brick walls, and smashing cars.
This police tank posted recently by Lord Dane on flickr packs all the right angles. It features an unusual arrangement of wheels, some clever details (that gun is so simple, but so nice) and a shape that’s sleek and chunky at the same time. I don’t know if I’d get the same Blade Runner vibe if the creation had a different name, but it’s certainly there for me now.
Karf Oohlu just rolled out this bad boy and it is covered in greebly goodness. While I really like the use of the dump truck bed as the armored shell, it is all the bits on the top that make this something special.
Curtydc has built a nifty version of Don Karnage’s TriWing Terror from TaleSpin. It is fun-looking plane and has a rather SkyFi feel to it. I also hear that it is quite swooshable.
We haven’t had many Steampunk builds on here lately. It about time for one. This Landship is a sort of cross-country locomotive and looks like it packs quite the punch. I especially like the side-mounted turrets. I’m sure Beau Donnan intended it, but they remind me of the guns on the British “Mark” series of World War I tanks.
