Mike Doyle came out of his dark ages only during this summer after a visit to LEGOLAND, and he built this?! I am pleasantly surprised by the amount of realism achieved using predominantly two colors. As the builder notes, this is “more of a textural study,” and a darn fine one too.
Tony Sava (SavaTheAggie) shows of his photography skills (and his excellent cathedral) with this brilliant showcase of the ‘grown-up’ LEGO town sets. I know we’ve blogged the cathedral before but this photo was too good to ignore.
Jerac has built some fantastic renditions of Warhammer 40K space marines. He’s built several marines, and given them a matching Landspeeder and Drednaught. I’m especially impressed with the way he came up with to render the trademark oversized space marine shoulder pauldrons.
This is such an adorable little feathered guy, he was just begging to be posted. The combination of cuteness and presentation really does it for me. Well played, Jordan, well played.

Apparently that’s what Mr. Sharkman is selling. This vignette by Harlen (tomi&tree) is whimsically creepy. It’s even more interesting to see his adorable four year old son play with his new toy in this video.
Peter C. (PeteCorp) based this Gundam model not on the series but on the 1:1 scale model found in Shizuoka. He’s also made a descriptive video (longer youtube version) for it. Utterly exceptional work at such a tiny scale.
It all seems to be a bit quiet here at the moment. Luckily Aaron Dayman made the Devastaku a little bit back which has some lime and purple for us to ogle.
