One of the rarely-mentioned advantages of mining equipment is that it is so huge you can build it in technic and have it be minifig scale. As Arjan Kotte (Konajira) illustrates in this delightful pair.

Harley Davidson FLH 1340 by Bricksonwheels
Bricksonwheels has taken a break from building massive big-rigs for a return to massively awesome motorcycles. Here’s his very shiny Hog.
Modern kitchen and dining room
Littlehaulic once again shows her creativity for interior design with Lego in this kitchen and dining room creation. There are many details that’ll reward those who take a closer look. Can you find the blender, power outlets, and the hidden foodling in the pictures?
Sandvik TH550 underground truck
Marek Markiewicz (M_longer) heads deep under the surface of the Earth with his LEGO version of the 50-ton articulated mining truck.
I’m always a sucker for schematic-like compilation shots, and I’m not disappointed by all the angles in this one:
Mercedes McLaren SLR Stirling Moss by Lino
Lino Martins found himself among the people in the world who didn’t have a spare €750,000 lying around to buy one of the 75 McLaren SLR Stirling Moss cars that Mercedes-Benz built, so he built his own from LEGO.
Everybody’s surfin’ now
This simple composition featuring some not-so-simple creations by Jack Marquez (Ewok in Disguise) captures the feel of a Beach Boys song: Corvette convertible, custom Harley-Davidson and a surfboard.
Check out all the pedals and valves on that Harley and the red rubber bands for racing stripes.
Human-powered transport
As much as I like to see more Asian elements within the available palette of LEGO elements, and as addicted as I am to the collectible minifigs, I can’t say I’m thrilled with the hair piece used for both (both?!) the sumo wrestler and geisha. Nevertheless, I can’t help but love anything that springs from the brilliantly bricking fingers of Michael Jasper.
Via twee affect, which has a nice discussion of the various interesting techniques that Michael inevitably applies to his LEGO creations.
Spitfire Mk IX
This plane is just gorgeous. Ed Diment (Lego Monster) states that it’s a 1 in 20th scale, and he plans to add more. I can’t wait.
Drove my Chevy to the levy
LUGNUTS is currently running an interesting monthly challenge and Peter Blackert (lego911) has more than risen to it. His ’55 Chevreolet Cameo appears to have all the little details just in the right spot. I’m sure Don McLean would appreciate it.
A delicious slice of orange
The LEGO Speeder Bikes contest over on Flickr is picking up steam, with more than 70 entries so far. There are dozens of notable entries, but one that jumped off the page for me is this orange and dark gray bad boy by Peter Taylor (darkblne).
